Ben Catley at Settlers Tavern
9 March 2017 @ 9:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Fresh off the back of sets at Blues at Bridgetown Festival, supporting Ash Grunwald, Mat McHugh (The Beautiful Girls) Mosquito Coast and OKA, and touring over east with Kallidad, Ben Catley will be bringing his own brand of upbeat, feel-good acoustic blues and roots to Margaret River. Expect grooving foot-stomping, lively guitar playing, powerful vocals and a hell of a stage presence that arguably boasts the energy of a full band and will be sure to get you on your feet.
Originally from the North of England and now a Scarborough resident, Ben packed 2016 with an impressive amount of shows, and is set to make this year even bigger with some festivals and a south west tour straight off the bat. Shortly following the Ravenswood Blues and Roots Festival in Mandurah with acts such as Diesel, Russell Morris, Blue Shaddy and more, he will be heading south with stops including Redcliffe on the Murray, Quindanning Inne and Bunbury before hitting up Margaret River.
Following his upbeat bluesy EP, Move Fast, Ben released his latest single, What’s Riding, which took him to No.7 in the TripleJ Unearthed roots/rock chart. “A seriously catchy little thing with a pumping groove” AMNplify.
